Joann Hamick Quintana

Joann Hamick Quintana is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, writer and civic activist. She has recorded two studio albums of all-original music. Born and raised in Illinois, she is a longtime resident of the Pacific Northwest, first in Seattle, and now Whidbey Island.

In 2015, Joann recorded her first studio album of original songs. Her most recent album, “Not Enough Sundays,” includes jazz, blues, folk, country-rock and folk-rock tunes, all original. Joann was joined on her second album by guitarist and producer Jeff Fielder, who has worked and toured internationally with Amy Ray, Mark Lanegan, Sera Cahoone and the Indigo Girls, to name a few, as well as performed for television productions and concert films.

Joann’s original music is inspired by many of her life experiences, including dieting and dating, floods, women ranchers and Me Too, her brother’s death and her niece’s search for a husband, to name a few. Joann’s music can be heard on most streaming platforms, including Spotify.

Joann is also a non-fiction writer, having written, directed and produced “City Beat:  Night Music,” a musical play about the history of jazz and nightclubs. She is currently writing a creative non-fiction memoir.
